ततः परमावश्यतेंद्रियाणाम्।

Tataḥ paramā vaśhyatendriyāṇām
tataḥ : then, thereby
paramā : final, supreme, ultimate
vaśhyatā : controllability
indriyāṇām : of senses
Sutra Meaning :
Through pratyāhāra (is achieved) the ultimate controllability of the senses.
सूत्र २.५५
ततः परमा वश्यतेन्द्रियाणाम्।
पदच्छेद एवं शब्दार्थ –
ततः : उस (प्रत्याहार की सिद्धि) से
परमा : परम या पूर्ण
वश्यता : वशीकारिता (होती है)
इन्द्रियाणाम् : इन्द्रियों की
सूत्रार्थ –
उस (प्रत्याहार की सिद्धि) से इन्द्रियाँ पूर्ण वशवर्तिनी होती है। अर्थात्, उस (प्रत्याहार की सिद्धि) से इन्द्रियाँ पूर्णरूप से वश में आ जाती हैं।
॥ इति द्वितीयः साधनपादः ॥

Attraverso pratyāhāra (si ottiene) l’ultima controllabilità dei sensi.
