वितर्कबाधने प्रतिपक्षभावनम्।

Sutra 2.33
Vi-tarka-bādhane prati-pakṣha-bhāvanam
vi-tarka : misratiocinations, troubling and deviant thoughts
bādhane : in disturbance [from], in being impeded [by] – in case of disturbance and impediment from misratiocinations and deviant thoughts
prati-pakṣha : [of] opposite principles
bhāvanam : cultivating, being intent on, impressing upon oneself through contemplation
Sutra Meaning :
When misratiocinations and deviant thoughts present themselves [one should counter these by] cultivating and impressing upon oneself the opposite principles in contemplation.
सूत्र २.३३
वितर्कबाधने प्रतिपक्षभावनम्।
पदच्छेद एवं शब्दार्थ –
वितर्क : यम और नियमों के विरोधी हिंसादि भाव
बाधने : से (या के द्वारा) बाधित होने पर
प्रतिपक्ष : (उनके) प्रतिपक्षी (विचारों की)
भावनम् : भावना करनी चाहिए ॥
सूत्रार्थ –
वितर्क (अर्थात्, यम और नियमों के विरोधी हिंसादि भाव) से बाधित होने पर (उनके) प्रतिपक्षी (विचारों की, बारम्बार) भावना करनी चाहिए।

Sutra Meaning :
Quando si presentano pensieri devianti [si dovrebbe contrastare questi da] è necessario coltivare nella contemplazione, imprimendoli su se stessi, i principi opposti.
