Sukhānuśhayī rāgaḥ
sukha : pleasure
anu-śhayī : that which closely accompanies or follows
rāgaḥ : attraction, attachment
Sutra Meaning :
That which closely accompanies and follows a pleasure [as an after-impression] is called attachment.
सूत्र २.७
सुखानुशयी रागः।
पदच्छेद एवं शब्दार्थ –
सुख : सुख, (का)
अनुशयी : अनुवर्ती (अर्थात्, के पश्चात् होने वाली/वाला)
रागः : राग है॥
सूत्रार्थ
(किसी पदार्थ के) सुखभोग के पश्चात् (पुनः उसी पदार्थ के सुखभोग प्रति) होने वाली इच्छा राग (नामक क्लेश) है।

Sutra Meaning :
Ciò che accompagna e segue da vicino un piacere [come anche una impressione successiva] si chiama attaccamento.
