तस्मिन् सति श्वासप्रश्वासयोर्गतिविच्छेदः प्राणायामः।

Sutra 2.49
Tasmin sati śhvāsa-pra-śhvāsayor gati-vicchedaḥ prāṇāyāmaḥ

tasmin :
upon that
sati : having been [accomplished]
śhvāsa : [of] inhalation [and]
pra-śhvāsayoḥ : exhalation
gati : [of] force, uncontrolled movement
vi-cchedaḥ : break, braking [is callled]
prāṇāyāmaḥ : prāṇāyāma, control of breath, expansion of prāna

Sutra Meaning : 
When that [posture] has been [accomplished], braking the force and uncontrolled movement of inhalation and exhalation is termed breath control and expansion of prāṇa.

सूत्र २.४९
तस्मिन् सति श्वासप्रश्वासयोर्गतिविच्छेदः प्राणायामः।

पदच्छेद एवं शब्दार्थ –
तस्मिन् + सति : उसके (अर्थात्, आसन के) सिद्ध होने पर
श्वास + प्रश्वासयोः : श्वास और प्रश्वास की
गति + विच्छेदः : गति (वेग या अनियमितता) को रोकना
प्राणायामः : प्राणायाम है ॥

सूत्रार्थ
उसके (अर्थात्, आसन के) सिद्ध होने पर श्वास और प्रश्वास की गति (अर्थात्, वेग या अनियमितता) को रोकना प्राणायाम है।

Sutra Meaning : 
Quando quella [postura] è stata [compiuta], frenare la forza e il movimento incontrollato di inalazione ed espirazione è chiamato controllo del respiro ed espansione di prāṇa: pranayama.

tasmin: sobre esa
sati: habiendo sido [lograda]
śhvāsa: [de] inhalación [y]
pra-śhvāsayoḥ: exhalación
gati: [de] fuerza, movimiento involuntario, sin control
vi-cchedaḥ: frenar
prāṇāyāmaḥ: prāṇāyāma, control de la respiración, expansión de prāna

Sutra Meaning :
Cuando la postura ha sido lograda, frenar la fuerza y el movimiento involuntario de la inhalación y la exhalación es pranayama (control de la respiración y expansión de prāṇa)
