समाधिभावनार्थः क्लेशतनूकरणार्थश्च।

Samādhi-bhāvanārthaḥ kleśha-tanūkaraṇārthaśh cha

samādhi : samādhi, for the purpose
bhāvana : developing, nurturing, of developing and
arthaḥ : for the purpose of nurturing samādhi
kleśha : afflictions for the purpose
tanū-karaṇa : attenuating, weakening, of attenuating, diminishing and weakening of afflictions
arthaḥ : for the purpose of
cha : and

Sutra Meaning :
 
Kriyā-yoga is practiced] for the purpose of developing and nurturing samādhi and for attenuation [and elimination] of afflictions.

सूत्र २.२
समाधिभावनार्थः क्लेशतनूकरणार्थश्च

पदच्छेद एवं शब्दार्थ –
समाधि :
(यह क्रियायोग) समाधि, (की)
भावना + अर्थः : सिद्धि के लिये  
क्लेश + तनू + करण + अर्थः : अविद्यादि पञ्च क्लेशों को क्षीण करने के लिये
च : और॥

सूत्रार्थ –

(यह क्रियायोग) समाधि की सिद्धि, और अविद्यादि पञ्च क्लेशों को क्षीण करने के लिये होता है।

Il Kriyā-yoga è praticato] allo scopo di sviluppare e nutrire il samādhi e per attenuare [ed eliminare] le afflizioni.
