अहिंसासत्यास्तेयब्रह्मचर्यापरिग्रहा यमाः।

Sutra 2.30
A-hiṁsā-satyāsteya-brahma-charyāpari-grahā yamāḥ
a-hiṁsā : non-injuriousness, non-violence
satya : truth, reality; expressing reality
a-steya : non-theft
brahma-charya : walking in Brahman; remaining under a teacher in strict obedience and discipline; celibacy; regulationg sexual indulgence; chastity
a-pari-grahāḥ : [and] not grabbing; not grapsing with the senses; non-indulgence in objects of the senses; nonpossessiveness
yamāḥ : [these are termed] the yamas
Sutra Meaning :
Non-violence, truth, non-theft, walking in God in celibacy, [and] non-indulgence – these are the yamas (codes of self-regulation and conduct).
सूत्र २.३०
अहिंसासत्यास्तेयब्रह्मचर्यापरिग्रहा यमाः।
पदच्छेद एवं शब्दार्थ –
अहिंसा : अहिंसा
सत्य : सत्य
अस्तेय : अस्तेय
ब्रह्मचर्य : ब्रह्मचर्य
अपरिग्रहाः : (और) अपरिग्रह
यमाः : (ये पाँच) यम हैं॥
सूत्रार्थ –
अहिंसा, सत्य, अस्तेय, ब्रह्मचर्य, और अपरिग्रह (ये पाँच) यम हैं।
Sutra 2.30
A-hiṁsā-satyāsteya-brahma-charyāpari-grahā yamāḥ
Sutra Meaning :
Dismissione del conflitto, verità, aderenza , camminare in una realtà migliorativa (Dio) nel celibato, [e] non-indulgenza – questi sono gli Yamas (codici di autoregolazione e di condotta).
Sutra 2.30
A-hiṁsā-satyāsteya-brahma-charyāpari-grahā yamāḥ
a-hiṁsā: no violencia
satya: verdad, ser fiel a la realidad
a-steya: no robar, honradez
brahma-charya: establecerse en Brahman, disciplina estricta, no indulgencia, celibato.
a-pari-grahāḥ: [y] desapego, no indulgencia en los sentidos y sus objetos, no posesión
yamāḥ: [se llaman] yamas
Sutra Meaning :
La no violencia, establecerse en la verdad, no robar, el celibato y el desapego son llamados yamas (códigos de autorregulación y conducta).

אלו הם הסייגים החיצוניים: הימנעות מפגיעה, אמירת־אמת, הימנעות מגניבה, פרישות, הימנעות מחמדנות
