अनित्याशुचिदुःखानात्मसु नित्यशुचिसुखात्मख्यातिरविद्या।

Sutra 2.5
Anityāśhuci-duḥkhānātmasu nitya-śhucisukhātma-khyātir avidhyā

a-nitya : [in] impermanent, non-eternal
a-śhuci :  impure
duḥkha : pain [ful]
an-ātmasu : in non-self, non-ātman (respectively)
nitya : permanent, eternal
śuci : pure
sukha : pleasant [and]
ātma : self, ātman
khyātiḥ : [erroneous] cognition
avidyā : [is] ignorance

Sutra Meaning : 
[Erroneous] cognition of permanent, pure, pleasant and self in what is impermanent, impure, pain[ful] and non-self [respectively is called] ignorance.

सूत्र २.५
अनित्याशुचिदुःखानात्मसु नित्यशुचिसुखात्मख्यातिरविद्या।

पदच्छेद एवं शब्दार्थ –
अनित्य : अनित्य (अर्थात्, नश्वर, विनाशशील)
अशुचि : अशुचि (अर्थात्, अपवित्र)
दुःख : दुःखमय
अनात्मसु : अनात्म (वस्तुओं में)
नित्य : नित्य (शाश्वत)
शुचि : शुचि (पवित्र)
सुख : सुख 
आत्म + ख्यातिः : आत्मरूप ज्ञान
अविद्या : अविद्या है॥

सूत्रार्थ
अनित्य (अर्थात्, प्रपञ्चात्मक, नश्वर, संसार) को नित्य (अर्थात्, शाश्वत, नित्य), अशुचि (अर्थात्, अपवित्र) को शुचि (पवित्र), दुःखमय को सुखस्वरूप और अनात्म (वस्तु को) आत्मवस्तु समझ लेना; अविद्या है।

Anityāśhuci-duḥkhānātmasu nitya-śhucisukhātma-khyātir avidhyā

Sutra Meaning : 
 [Erronea] cognizione di ciò che può essere definito come permanente, puro, piacevole e “sé” in ciò che è impermanente, impuro, dolore e “non-sé” [rispettivamente è chiamato] ignoranza.

Sutra Meaning :
La ignorancia es confundir lo permanente con lo impermanente, lo puro con lo impuro, el placer con el sufrimiento y el Ser con lo que no es el Ser.

אי־ידיעה היא הכרת הנצחי, הטהור, המענג והעצמי ב-חולף, ב-לא טהור, ב-סובל ובזה שאינו עצמי
