Tatra sthitau yatno’bhyāsaḥ
tatra : there, between those (two, practice and dispassion)
sthitau : in the matter of, towards, settling, stabilising, coming to rest (of the mind-field); as regards stilling, steadiness
yatnaḥ : endeavour, effort
abhyāsaḥ : practice
Sutra Meaning :
Between those two, practice and dispassion, the endeavour towards stillness and stability (sthiti) of the mind-field is called practice.
सूत्र १.१३
तत्र स्थितौ यत्नोऽभ्यासः
पदच्छेद एवं शब्दार्थ –
तत्र : उनमें (अभ्यास और वैराग्य में से)
स्थितौ : स्थिरता के लिये (किया जाने वाला)
यत्नः : प्रयत्न
अभ्यासः : अभ्यास (कहलाता है)॥
सूत्रार्थ –
अभ्यास और वैराग्य में से (चित्त की) स्थिरता के लिये (किया जाने वाला) प्रयत्न:विशेष; अभ्यास कहलाता है।

sthitau : stabilità
yatnaḥ : sfrorzo
abhyāsaḥ : pratica
Sutra Meaning :
Tra queste due, la pratica ed il non attaccamento,, lo sforzo verso la quiete (il mantenimento) e la stabilità (sthiti) del campo mentale è chiamato pratica.

tatra: de estos dos (práctica y desapego)
sthitau: establecerse en un estado de quietud y estabilidad, descansar en la calma
yatnaḥ: empeño, esfuerzo
abhyāsaḥ: práctica
Sutra Meaning :
La práctica es todo esfuerzo para que la mente alcance un estado de quietud y estabilidad (sthiti).
