तत्परं पुरुषख्यातेः गुणवैतृष्ण्यम्।
Tat-parama puruṣa-khyāter guṇa-vaitṛṣṇyam
Sutra 1.16
Tat-parama puruṣa-khyāter guṇa-vaitṛṣṇyam
tat : that (dispassion) (is)
paraṁ : supreme, transcendent, of higher kind
puruṣha : (as regards) the conscious being, the spiritual self,
spiritual noumenon
khyāteḥ : through discernment
guṇa : (for) the attributes of matter (that is, prakṛti), namely, sattva, rajas, tamas
vaitṛṣhṇyam : state of being free of all craving
Sutra Meaning :
That dispassion is of the higher kind, transcendent, supreme, when it is the freedom from all craving for the attributes, guṇas, arising through the realization of the spiritual self, puruṣha.
सूत्र १.१६
तत्परं पुरुषख्यातेर्गुणवैतृष्ण्यम्
पदच्छेद एवं शब्दार्थ –
तत् : वह
परं : पर (पर:वैराग्य है)
(जो) पुरुष : आत्मा
ख्यातेः : (के) ज्ञान से (विवेकख्याति से)
गुण + वैतृष्ण्यम् : (प्रकृति के) गुणों में तृष्णारहित हो जाने पर होता है॥
सूत्रार्थ –
(विवेकख्याति द्वारा) पुरुष (या आत्मा) के ज्ञान से (प्रकृति के) गुणों में (बुद्धि का) सर्वथा तृष्णारहित हो जाना; वह परवैराग्य है।

puruṣha : purusha, città stabilita, se’ in connessione con una idea più grande di sè stessi
khyāteḥ : attraverso discernimento
guṇa : attributi o qualità della materia
vaitṛṣhṇyam : stato dell’essere senza bramosia
Sutra Meaning :
Questo non attaccamento è di natura superiore, trascendente, supremo, quando rappresenta la liberazione da ogni brama per gli attributi (guṇas) che sorgono attraverso la realizzazione del sé spirituale, puruṣha.

puruṣha-: el Ser consciente, el Ser espiritual, objeto no fenoménico
khyāteḥ: a través del discernimiento
guṇa-: (para) atributos de la materia (que es, prakriti): sattva, rajas, tamas
vaitṛṣhṇyam: estado del ser libre de todo anhelo
Sutra Meaning :
El desapego más supremo y trascendental es en el que el Ser consciente (purusha), a través del discernimiento, se libera incluso del anhelo por los atributos de la materia(gunas).
