Sutra 1.14

स तु दीर्घकालनैरन्तर्यसत्कारासेवितो दृढभूमिः।

Sa tu dīrgha-kāla-nairantarya-satkārāsevito dṛḍha-bhūmiḥ

 


Sutra 1.14
Sa tu dīrgha-kāla-nairantarya-satkārāsevito dṛḍha-bhūmiḥ

saḥ : that (practice)
tu : however
dīrgha-kāla : (for) a long time
nairantarya : without interval, without interruption
satkāra : respect, positive attitude, reverence, adoration,
devotion
ā-sevitaḥ : pursued, thoroughly served, maintained in assiduous and complete observance
dṛḍha-bhūmiḥ : (becomes) firm of ground

Sutra Meaning :  
That practice, however, becomes firm of ground only when pursued and maintained in assiduous and complete oservance for a long time, without interruption and with a positive and devout attitude.

सूत्र १.१४
स तु दीर्घकालनैरन्तर्यसत्कारासेवितो दृढभूमिः

पदच्छेद एवं शब्दार्थ –
सः : वह (अभ्यास)
तु : तो, परन्तु
दीर्घ + काल : लम्बे समय तक (दीर्घकालपर्यन्त)
नैरन्तर्य : निरन्तर, लगातार, (और)
सत्कार : सत्कार या श्रद्धापूर्वक
सेवितः : सेवन किये जाने पर (यह शब्द आयुर्वेद से सम्बन्धित है)
दृढभूमिः : दृढभूमि (दृढ:अवस्था वाला हो जाता है)॥ 

सूत्रार्थ –
परन्तु वही अभ्यास (जब) दीर्घकालपर्यन्त, निरन्तर, और सत्कार या श्रद्धापूर्वक किया जाए, तो (वह) दृढभूमि को प्राप्त होता है।

Sutra Meaning :
Questa pratica, tuttavia, diventa solida solo quando viene seguita e mantenuta con assidua e completa osservanza per un lungo periodo, senza interruzioni e con un atteggiamento positivo e devoto.

tu: de cualquier modo
dīrgha-kāla-: (por) un tiempo prolongado
nairantarya: sin intervalo, sin interrupción
satkāra-: respeto, actitud positiva, reverencia, adoración, devoción
ā-sevitaḥ: procurados, buscados minuciosamente, mantenidos en observancia asidua
dṛḍha-bhūmiḥ: en suelo firme

Sutra Meaning :  
La práctica, de cualquier modo, se vuelve firme solamente cuando es procurada y mantenida en completa y constante observancia por un largo periodo de tiempo, sin interrupción y con una actitud devota y positiva.
