Sutra 1.18
विरामप्रत्ययाभ्यासपूर्वः संस्कारशेषोऽन्यः।
Virāma-pratyayābhyāsa-pūrvaḥ saṁskāraśheṣo’nyaḥ
Sutra 1.18
Virāma-pratyayābhyāsa-pūrvaḥ saṁskāraśheṣo’nyaḥ
virama : cessation
pratyaya : cognition principle, cognition, causal principle
abhyāsa : practise
pūrvaḥ : preceded by, having as a prerequisite
saṁskāra-śheṣaḥ : leaving its saṁskāra as residue
anyaḥ : the other
Sutra Meaning :
(Asamprajnāta) is the other (samādhi), having as its prerequisite the practice of the cognition and causal principle of cessation and leaving its saṁskāra as residue.
सूत्र १.१८
विरामप्रत्ययाभ्यासपूर्वः संस्कारशेषोऽन्यः
पदच्छेद एवं शब्दार्थ –
विराम : विराम
प्रत्यय : प्रत्यय (का)
अभ्यास + पूर्वः (जिसके) पूर्व में है
(और) संस्कार + शेषः : (जिसमें चित्त का स्वरूप) “संस्कार:मात्र ही शेष” (रहता है)
अन्यः : (वह) अन्य (असम्प्रज्ञात समाधि) है॥
सूत्रार्थ –
विरामप्रत्यय (यानि परवैराग्य) का अभ्यास जिसकी पूर्वाऽवस्था हो, (और) जिसमें चित्त का स्वरूप संस्कारमात्र ही शेष रह जाए; वह अन्य (यानि असम्प्रज्ञात समाधि) होती है।

abhyāsa : pratica
pūrvaḥ : avendo come prerequisito
saṁskāra-śheṣaḥ : lasciando le impressioni come i residui
anyaḥ : gli altri
Sutra Meaning :
(Gli Asamprajñāta) Son gli altri (samādhi), che hanno come prerequisito la pratica della cognizione e del principio causale di cessazione lasciando i samskara come residuo.

El estado más elevado de samadhi (Asamprajñāta) es aquel en el que, debido a la práctica, todas las modificaciones de la mente, incluidas las impresiones de todas las acciones pasadas, llegan a su fin y sólo queda la impresión del samadhi (samskara-shesah) como residuo.
