tat-japaḥ : repetition, recitation of that (and)
tat : of that
artha : meaning
bhāvanam : absorbing, cultivating
Sutra Meaning :
The japa of that name, and cultivating and absorbing its meaning (is called īśhvara-praṇidhāna, the practice of the presence of God).
सूत्र १.२८
तज्जपस्तदर्थभावनम्
पदच्छेद एवं शब्दार्थ –
तत् + जपः : उस (ॐकार) का जप (और)
तत् + अर्थ : उसके अर्थ (का)
भावनम् : चिन्तन (करना चाहिये)॥
सूत्रार्थ –
उस (ॐकार) का जप, और उसके अर्थ की भावना (अर्थात् चिन्तन) करना चाहिये।
