Sutra 1.30

व्याधिस्त्यानसंशयप्रमादालस्याविरतिभ्रान्तिदर्शनालब्धभूमिकत्वानवस्थितत्वानि चित्तविक्षेपास्तेऽन्तरायाः।

bhūmikatvānavasthitatvāni chitta-vikṣhepās te’ntarāyāḥ

 


Sutra 1.30
Vyādhi-styāna-saṁśhaya pramādālasyāviratibhrāntidarśhanālabdha
bhūmikatvānavasthitatvāni chitta-vikṣhepās te’ntarāyāḥ

vyādhi : illness
styāna : mental laziness, procrastination, mind’s idleness
saṁśhaya : doubt
pramāda : negligence
ālasya : lainess, languor, sloth
a-virati : failing to turn away from the world and the senses, non-abstention
bhrānti-darśhana : wrong views, confusion of philosophies
a-labdha-bhumikatva : failing to gain a ground (and)
an-avasthitatvāni : instability, inability to maintain the ground or level
chitta-vikṣhepāḥ : (are) distractions of the mind-field
te: they (are)
antarāyāḥ : obstacles, impediments

Sutra Meaning:  
Illness, mental idleness doubt, negligence, sloth, non-abstention, confusion of philosophies, failure to gain a ground and instability are the distractions of the mind-field; they are the impediments.

सूत्रार्थ
व्याधि, स्त्यान, संशय, प्रमाद, आलस्य, अविरति, भ्रान्तिदर्शन, अलब्धभूमिकत्व, अनवस्थितत्व, (ये नौ); चित्त के विक्षेप हैं; वे ही, अन्तराय (अर्थात् विघ्न) हैं।

styāna : procrastinazione, pigrizia mentale
saṁśhaya : dubbio
pramāda : negligenza
ālasya : letargia
a-virati : fallimento nel rivolgersi al proprio interno
bhrānti-darśhana : confusione nell’impianto teorico
a-labdha-bhumikatva : fallimento al raggiungimento di un terreno
an-avasthitatvāni : instabilità nel mantenere un terreno acquisito
chitta-vikṣhepāḥ : (sono) le distrazioni della mente
te : esse
antarāyāḥ : ostacoli ed impedimenti

Sutra Meaning :
Malattia, pigrizia mentale, dubbio, negligenza, indolenza, mancanza di astensione, errata comprensione della teoria, incapacità di stabilirsi e instabilità sono le distrazioni del campo mentale; sono gli ostacoli.

a-virati-: no alejarse del mundo y de los sentidos, la no abstención
bhrānti-darśhana-: conocimiento erróneo, confusión en cuanto a las filosofías
a-labdha-bhumikatva-: no “ganar” terreno, no desarrollar
an-avasthitatvāni: inestabilidad, incapacidad de mantener cierto nivel
chitta-vikṣhepāḥ: (son) distracciones de la mente

Sutra Meaning :  
La enfermedad, la pereza mental, la duda, la negligencia, la languidez, la no abstención, el conocimiento erróneo y la incapacidad de desarrollarse y encontrar estabilidad son distracciones de la mente y son los impedimentos para alcanzar Samadhi.

מחלה, עמימות תודעתית, ספקנות, התרשלות, עצלות, חוסר איפוק, מבט משוטט, אי השגת מדרגות [הסמאדהי] וחוסר יציבות [בהן] – אלה הסחות התודעה, אלה המכשולים
