Eka-samaye cobhayānavadhāraṇam
eka : one
samaye : at time
ca : and
ubhaya : (of) both
an-avadhāraṇam : non-recognition
Sutra Meaning :
(If it were suggested that mind recognizes both the object as well as itself) (it is) not (possible to have) the recognition of both at one time.
सूत्र ४.२०
एकसमये चोभयानवधारणम्॥२०॥
पदच्छेद एवं शब्दार्थ –
एक समये : एक ही समय में
च : और
उभय : दोनों (अर्थात्, अपना तथा विषयों) की
अनवधारणम् : अवधारणा न होने से॥
सूत्रार्थ –
और, एक ही समय में दोनों (अर्थात्, अपने तथा विषयों) की अवधारणा न होने से।

Sutra Meaning :
(Se è stato suggerito che la mente riconosce sia l’oggetto così come se stesso) (è) non (possibile avere) il riconoscimento di entrambi in una sola volta.
