Pariṇāma-traya-saṁyamād atītānāgatajnānam
pariṇāma : alterations
traya : threefold
saṁyamāt : through concentration on
(through the concentration on the threefold of alterations)
atīta : (of) past (and)
anāgata : (of) yet to come, future
jnānam : knowledge (the knowledge of past and present)
Sutra Meaning :
Through concentration on the (above) threefold of alterations, the knowledge of past and present (accrues to a yogi).
सूत्र ३.१६
परिणामत्रयसंयमादतीतानागतज्ञानम्
पदच्छेद एवं शब्दार्थ –
परिणाम + त्रय + संयमात् : (धर्म-लक्षण-अवस्था रूप) त्रिविध परिणामों में संयम करने से
अतीत + अनागत + ज्ञानम् : (योगी को) भूत तथा भविष्य का ज्ञान होता है॥
सूत्रार्थ –
(धर्म-लक्षण-अवस्था रूप) त्रिविध परिणामों में संयम करने से (योगी को) भूत तथा भविष्य का ज्ञान होता है॥

Attraverso la concentrazione sulla (sopra descritto) triplice alterazione, la conoscenza del passato e del presente (matura per uno yogi).
