संस्कारसाक्षात्करणात् पूर्वजातिज्ञानम्

Sutra 3.18
Saṁskāra-sākṣhat-karaṇāt pūrva-jāti-jnānam
saṁskāra : (of) the residue of impressions from past lives
sākṣāt-karṇāt : realisation, bringing to the fore, bringing to awareness
pūrva : (of) previous
jāti : incarnations
jnānam : knowledge
Sutra Meaning :
By bringing the previous samskaras to (his) awareness (the yogi gains) the knowledge of (his) previous incarnations.
सूत्र ३.१८
संस्कारसाक्षत्करणात् पूर्वजातिज्ञानम्
पदच्छेद एवं शब्दार्थ –
संस्कार + साक्षात् + करणात् : (चित्तके) संस्कारों का (संयमद्वारा) साक्षात्कार कर लेने से
पूर्व + जाति + ज्ञानम् : (योगी को) पूर्वजन्मों का ज्ञान होता है ॥
सूत्रार्थ –
(चित्तके) संस्कारों का (संयमद्वारा) साक्षात्कार कर लेने से (योगी को) पूर्वजन्मों का ज्ञान होता है।

Portando i samskara precedenti alla (sua) consapevolezza (guadagna lo yogi) la conoscenza delle (sue) incarnazioni precedenti.
