Dhruve tad-gati-jnānam

dhruve : on polar star
tat-gati : (of) their movements
jnānam : knowledge

Sutra Meaning : 
(By samyama) on the polar star (one gains) the knowledge of movement of those (stars).

सूत्र ३.२८
ध्रुवे तद्गतिज्ञानम्

पदच्छेद एवं शब्दार्थ –
ध्रुवे – ध्रुवतारा में (संयम करने से)
तत् + गति – उन (ताराओं) की गति का
ज्ञानम् – ज्ञान होता है॥

सूत्रार्थ –  
ध्रुवतारा में (संयम करने से) उन (ताराओं) की गति का ज्ञान होता है।

(Da Samyama) sulla stella polare (si guadagna) la conoscenza del movimento di quelli (stelle).
