Sutra 3.42

कायाकाशयोः संबंधसंयमात् लघुतूलसमापत्तेश्च आकाशगमनम्

Kāyākāśayoḥ saṁbandha-saṁyamāt laghu-tūlasamāpatteśh-cākāśha-gamanam

 


Sutra 3.42
Kāyākāśayoḥ saṁbandha-saṁyamāt laghu-tūlasamāpatteśh-cākāśha-
gamanam

kāya : (of) body (and)
ākāśhayoḥ : space
sambandha : (on) relationship
saṁyamāt : through samyama
laghu : (of) light
tūla : cotton
samāpatteḥ : by attaining the state
ca : and
ākāśha : (through) space, sky
gamanam : travel

Sutra Meaning : 
By samyama on the relationship of body and space, (consequently) through attaining the state of (becoming like) light cotton (one gains the facility to) travel through sky.

सूत्र ३.४२
कायाकाशयोः संबन्धसंयमाल्लघुतूलसमापत्तेश्चाकाशगमनम्

पदच्छेद एवं शब्दार्थ –
काय + आकाशयोः : शरीर एवं आकाश के
संबन्ध + संयमात् : संबन्ध में संयम करने से
लघु + तूल + समापत्तेः : हल्की वस्तु (जैसे – रूई इत्यादि अल्प परिमाण भार वाले पदार्थों) में (संयम द्वारा) समापत्ति से
: या
आकाश + गमनम् : आकाशगमन सिद्ध होता है॥

सूत्रार्थ –
शरीर एवं आकाश के संबन्ध में संयम करने से या हल्की वस्तु (जैसे-रूई इत्यादि अल्प परिमाण भार वाले पदार्थों) में (संयम द्वारा) समापत्ति से; आकाश में गमन की सिद्धि प्राप्त होती है॥

Sutra meaning :
Da Samyama sulla relazione del corpo e dello spazio, (di conseguenza) attraverso il raggiungimento dello stato di (diventare come) cotone leggero (si guadagna la possibilità di) viaggiare attraverso il cielo.

Sutra meaning :
התהלכות בחלל – על-ידי סאמיאמה בקשר שבין הגוף לחלל ועל ידי התלכדות עם [דברים] קלים ככותנה
